About this Location
USO Arizona covers 113,600 square miles and has four operating locations, including USO Arizona Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), USO Arizona on post at U.S. Army Fort Huachuca, and the Freefall School Barracks on base at Yuma Proving Ground. USO Arizona’s mission extends to outreach and expeditionary programs and resiliency events throughout the state supporting twenty military installations in all, with 24 million square feet of Department of Defense-owned installations including the largest Unmanned Aircraft Systems training base in the world, the second-largest military installation in the world and the third-largest tactical aviation range in the country. By establishing relationships with all six active-duty military bases, National Guard bases, and Reserve leadership groups, USO Arizona customizes its services to each population and the diverse needs of service members and their families.
In 2020, USO Arizona faced the challenge head-on of temporarily suspending operations at its centers due to restrictions related to the global pandemic. They immediately pivoted to delivering new types of requests from military commands because of quarantines and National Reserve mobilizations, all without their volunteer force. USO Arizona successfully provided 156,491 instances of service and aims to reach more service members in 2021 by opening up a new center at MCAS Yuma to provide direct support for the military community at the remote location.

“Thank you so much for all that the USO does for families, especially during this very interesting time we live in... We moved here a year ago, ahead of my husband. We knew no one and could not live in military housing due to our dog, so we felt very isolated. It felt very lonely before we started coming to the USO. Thank you for being there for us, especially during that difficult transition. We really appreciate all that you do to support families!"The Hickman Family, USO San Diego Find out how to support USO
