On June 10 – Katarina Schweitzer, Miss Idaho USA – joined USO team members and volunteers for a night of rollicking fun at the Eagle Rodeo on Military Night.
Over 3,000 participants enjoyed the rodeo, with hundreds stopping by the USO booth to say hello, play cornhole and pick up a free bag of Tim’s Cascade Chips and USO-branded chip clip. A raffle was held near the end of the night with winners taking home a Google Home Hub.
USO West Transitions staff provided information for transitioning service members and military spouses, and Operations and Development staff were on hand to recruit volunteers interested in getting involved with the USO to support the military community in Idaho. Adjacent to the USO booth was a popular pull-up contest held by the marines and a bull ride where kids practiced their riding skills.
Be sure to check out the fun video with Miss Idaho USA and share with your friends in the Gem State that USO is coming to Idaho and volunteers are wanted! To learn more, go to volunteers.uso.org!
