Fort Irwin Soldier of the Year gets unique NFL experience
LOS ANGELES — Army Specialist Todd Schaffer, the Fort Irwin Soldier of the Year, joined Scott Hanson for an ultimate NFL Red Zone experience on Nov. 14, talking football with the host and also making his own highlight reel play-by-play call on the show.
Schaffer and his family were recognized and honored for his military service and given tickets to the Los Angeles Chargers game later in the day, where they enjoyed the rest of their NFL experience at SoFi Stadium.
